History
It was in 1936 when Panificadora Conquense issued its first shares and was incorporated as a corporation. It already had the most modern facilities of the time.

1936
The factory was located in the center of the capital of Cuenca, and already had the most modern facilities.

1954
The new factory is inaugurated on the outskirts of the city. The building was prepared for future expansion.

2023
We started our journey in a new factory that incorporates the most modern technologies.
Since 1936
Our history at a glance.
Our history goes back many years, always committed to quality improvement and a constant growth in production and customers.
To get a quick idea from the birth of Panificadora Conquense until today, we explain in a visual way our evolution in the years we have been manufacturing flours.
1936
Incorporation of the S.A.
The factory was distinguished by the modern Daverío cylinder system and the mechanical conveying of the mill products.
1954
New plant
We inaugurated our new plant with a milling capacity of 25 MT per day. One of the first in Spain to install the BUHLER pneumatic system.
1980s
Enlargements
Several reforms are undertaken with the introduction of new machines. Milling capacity is increased to 100 tons/day.
2000s
Modernization
We are investing heavily in modernizing our facilities in terms of people, technology, quality and the environment. We reached 200 Tm/day.
2009
Innovation
We made important investments focused on new machines with high technological innovation: new mills, new saws, new plansifters.
2010
Remodeling
In-depth remodeling of the facilities: floors, windows, insulation, etc. of the entire production area. We reached 300 Tm/day of milling.
2023
New factory
We moved to a new factory that incorporates the latest technological innovations, being a reference at European level. Our milling capacity reaches 500 Tm/day.
1930s
Company located in the center of the capital of the province of Cuenca, dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of bread flours, was established as a corporation in 1936. It had the most modern facilities of the time.
The factory was distinguished by the modern Daverío cylinder system and the mechanical conveying of the mill products. It was considered one of the most modern and best structured in Spain, as can be seen in the photographs, taken from the company’s archives, which give us an idea of the size and modernization of the facilities.
The company’s own trucks were responsible for the distribution of flour and by-products.
1950s
In 1954 the new plant, built on the outskirts of the city, was inaugurated in the presence of the highest local, provincial and national authorities of the time.
The new factory, designed to produce 25 tons of wheat in 24 hours, was one of the first to be installed in Spain with the new BUHLER pneumatic conveying system.
The building, oversized in its conception, was prepared for future extensions, which would be undertaken in the 1980s, later in 2000 and in 2010.
Decade of the 80’s
In the early 1980s, several reforms were carried out, with the introduction and implementation of new, more robust and modern machines.
These reforms were carried out in the cleaning area, in the factory itself and in the finished product area.
The milling capacity increases from 25 tons in the previous stage to 100 tons in 24 hours.
Expansion into new markets means that, despite the current crisis in the sector, Panificadora Conquense continues to grow.
Beginning of the century, year 2000
In 2000, in order to face new challenges and continue with our main priority, which is to improve quality on a daily basis, the facilities were modernized and investments were made at all levels:
– Human Level
– Technology Level
– Quality Control
– Environment
In this way, the milling capacity of Panificadora Conquense reached 200 tons of wheat every 24 hours, with a structure of enormous functionality, to be able to manufacture with versatility and maximum quality the different types of flour demanded by the market.
2010s
The last part of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 was characterized by technological innovation: new mills, new saws, new plansifters and a thorough remodeling of the facilities: floors, windows, insulation, etc. in the entire production area.
All this was recently completed with the complete rehabilitation of the facades of the entire factory as a whole.
Already in the 2000s, the production capacity was 200 tons every 24 hours, and with the investments made in recent years, Panificadora Conquense Agrícola, S.A. can produce up to 300 tons in 24 hours while maintaining a supreme quality.
2020s, the new factory
We began the decade with a macro project, the construction of the new factory, which will culminate with its inauguration in 2023.
This is the largest economic, technical and human investment in our history. We built a new factory from scratch. All facilities, machinery and processes are brand new.
Today, the plant is a European benchmark in the manufacture of flour and is a pioneer in the installation of the most modern technology, especially in terms of food safety.
